Hey! Who Sharpie'd that bug!?
It might appear as though someone performed an act of vandalism on the back of this insect, but there’s no need to worry – it is most definitely not Sharpie!
Today, Daily Mail featured this beetle bearing a striking resemblance to Sesame Street’s Bert. The insect was spotted by amateur photographer, Winston Jansen in a Signapore forect. Careful to not scare the beetle away, Jansen snapped a few photos, which once online, quickly stirred up conversation.
“I was just captivated by the bright colours. Then on closer inspection it just hit me there is actually a face on its back.”
