Uncap your Love Life: Forty Days of Dating

Sharpie Squad and resident heartthrob (and apparently, heartbreaker), Timothy Goodman is embarking on another romantic adventure, this time on a little social experiment with friend and fellow designer, Jessica Walsh. The experiment? They are going to date. Like, for real.

These crazy kids... Jessica and Tim, everybody

For 40 days Tim, commitment challenged and serial lady killer, and Jessica, hopeless romantic on the hunt for “the one,”  will become a couple to discover if they can change  their bad habits and make sense of the ever-elusive emotion, “love.” And we get to watch. HELLLO newest reality addiction.

Every day a new “episode” will be revealed on their website documenting their journey with questionnaires, pictures and all kinds of crazy challenges, like holding hands for 8 hours straight…They also enlisted 80 designers /illustrators/artists to contribute a typographic piece that will live on the website to represent each day (2 designers a day).

Before you go thinking  “PSH what’s to keep this thing going?” Oh, there are rules. Major rules. As in, I don’t think I have ever seen my boyfriend for 40 days-in-a-row…

The rules:

1. We will see each other every day for forty days.

2. We will go on at least three dates a week.

3. We will see a couples therapist once a week.

4. We will go on one weekend trip together.

5. We will fill out the daily questionnaire and document everything.

6. We will not see, date, hookup, or anything else with anyone else.

Episode one starts right now… Head over to Forty Days of Dating and check out Jessica and Tim’s first date! Be sure to check back EVERY.DAY for all the boy/girl dramaffair (new word. Made it up. I think it works.)

What do you think? Will it stick? Are these two destined to be permanently attached at the hip (had to) or doomed for failure?

We are doing our own half time show and checking back in with Tim and Jessica on July 29th and we want to hammer them with questions– so let us know what YOU want to know! We will all get answers on July 29th!

Goood luck, kids!

Nothing says ” I love you, boo” than with a tool that stands the test of time.

This Valentine’s Day we have more than one way to say “be mine”… whether it’s with words, equations of devotion (math is SO not my thing), post-it proposals or declarations of love through a deck of cards; Sharpie is ready to play Cupid!

Sharpie Pen proposal for the lady in your life? Better than a box of chocolates, I’ll say!

You+ Me= Us… or this works too.

Valentine’s Day Love-Hate Debate!

Shrp_Facebook

Valentine’s Day The infamous February 14th.  The holiday celebrated around the world to express love.  A  romantic, heart-felt, candy-filled day represented by hearts, exchanging Valentine’s and a cherub aiming his bow at love-seeking pedestrians.  You’d think that such a holiday would be cherished by everyone….right?!

Well, apparently not!  While it may seem like everyone is seeing red and pink lately there has been a lot of back and forth regarding whether to love or hate Valentine’s Day.  This controversial topic has inspired Sharpie to host its own debate and find out where YOU stand on the issue.  Maybe you’re that gal who LOVES LOVE and enjoys getting wrapped up in all the Valentine’s Day  hoopla?  Or maybe you’re the kind of guy who claims Valentine’s Day is a greeting card manufactured holiday?!  Whoever you are, whatever side you take,  we want to know!  Express yourself and let your voice be heard!   Be a part of Sharpie’s first ever
